85 hawksbill turtle hatchlings released from Siloso Beach in Sentosa

SINGAPORE – Eighty-five critically endangered hawksbill turtle hatchlings were released into the sea off Sentosa on Monday morning (Nov 1).

These babies, hatched naturally on Sunday, emerged from a nest on Siloso Beach. The hatchlings were collected, measured and had their health checked by conservation officers before they were released at 6.30am.
